Dr. Sankar Sripada

Dr Sankar Sripada is a UK-trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at King's College Hospital London – Dubai with over 16 years of post-specialisation experience. He completed his higher surgical training in Scotland and earned his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2009, and is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council (UK). He trained at Andhra University in India for his medical degree and undertook an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Dalhousie University in Canada to deepen his expertise in complex joint surgery.

Dr Sripada specialises in lower limb trauma, hip and knee replacement (including revision procedures), fracture management, and knee arthroscopy. He has extensive experience in tertiary care settings and previously worked as Senior Lower Limb Trauma and Arthroplasty Surgeon at NHS Tayside in Scotland, managing complex fractures and joint reconstruction cases across multiple hospitals. He also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Dundee, reflecting his commitment to medical education and training of junior surgeons.

He has taken on senior leadership roles, including leading the surgical response to COVID-19 and contributing to the establishment of a Major Trauma Centre. Dr Sripada is actively involved in teaching and research, with publications and presentations at international forums.
