Dr. Iram Siddiqui

Dr Iram Siddiqui is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi, with over 25 years of clinical experience. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the West Midlands Deanery in the UK, obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Training in 2012, and completed accredited advanced training in Fetal Medicine from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2009. Before relocating to the UAE in 2018, she worked as a full-time consultant in the NHS and led fetal medicine departments in both the UK and UAE.

Dr Siddiqui specialises in fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, and the care of high-risk pregnancies. Her expertise includes fetal echocardiography (heart screening in the unborn baby), advanced ultrasound scans (nuchal translucency, anomaly and growth scans), and invasive prenatal testing such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. She manages complex conditions including placental disorders, fetal growth restriction, blood group incompatibility, and multiple pregnancies including twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. She also cares for pregnant women with serious medical conditions such as high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, epilepsy, kidney disease, and autoimmune disorders.

Dr Siddiqui is fluent in English, Urdu, and Arabic. She is a strong advocate of natural childbirth and normal deliveries, and is heavily involved in teaching and training. She serves as an MRCOG clinical examiner in the UAE and works closely with neonatology teams to provide comprehensive care to mothers and babies.
