Dr. Alaa Kasid Witwit

Dr Alaa Kasid Witwit is an award-winning Consultant Radiologist with over 27 years of professional experience in diagnostic imaging. UK and European trained, he holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and board certifications in Norway and Sweden. He completed his medical degree at the University of Baghdad in 1994 and pursued advanced radiology training across Europe before obtaining his FRCR in 2007.

Dr Witwit specialises in CT and MRI imaging for both adults and children, with particular expertise in cardiothoracic imaging, neuroradiology, head-and-neck imaging, and musculoskeletal conditions. He is experienced in image-guided procedures including lung and pleural biopsies and aspirations. His work spans lung cancer staging, interstitial lung disease, post-operative neuro-oncology assessment, and small-bowel imaging. He was recognised with the NHS Hero Award in 2021 for his contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
