Dr. Rizmee Shireen

Dr. Rizmee Shireen is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Medcare Hospitals in Sharjah. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in India and pursued specialist training in Ireland, where she undertook extensive residency in university hospitals and received fellowship training in minimal-access pelvic surgery at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and St James's Hospital in Dublin. She holds prestigious qualifications including Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRCOG) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland (MRCPI), along with her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from Ireland.

Dr. Shireen has nearly two decades of experience as an obstetrician and gynaecologist across Ireland and the UAE. She is proficient in managing both straightforward and complex pregnancies, conducting active labour management, and performing assisted vaginal deliveries and caesarean sections. She also manages pregnancy complications including ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage, and provides medical care for hormone-related conditions and menopause.

Her particular clinical interests include gynaecological cancers, pelvic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures. She has successfully treated conditions such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, fibroids and uterine polyps using keyhole surgery and open surgical approaches.
