Dr. Heather Anderson

Heather Anderson is a senior inpatient physiotherapist at Mediclinic Dubai, bringing extensive experience in neurological and acute rehabilitation. She graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Sports Science with Management in 2010, followed by an MSc in Physiotherapy from Leeds Beckett University in 2015. After completing rotations across multiple specialties—including neurology, orthopaedics, spinal injuries, intensive care, burns, and respiratory care—at Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust, she developed a focused interest in stroke and neurological recovery.

Heather spent several years as a specialist stroke and neurological physiotherapist at MOTIONRehab Intensive Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Leeds, where she worked with robotic therapy equipment to support patient recovery. She then worked as a Senior Stroke and Neurological Physiotherapist at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, managing both acute and rehabilitation services. Relocating to Dubai in 2024, she now provides senior-level inpatient physiotherapy at Mediclinic, drawing on her broad clinical background and specialist expertise in helping patients regain movement and function after stroke or during cancer treatment.

Heather is an active member of both the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, maintaining professional standards and staying current with evidence-based practice. She is well suited for patients recovering from stroke, managing neurological conditions, or rebuilding strength and mobility during or after cancer treatment.
