Dr. John George

Dr. John George is a specialist pediatrician with over 10 years of experience in child health and critical care. He trained in India, completing his MBBS in Kerala, followed by a Diploma in Child Health and DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Pediatrics. He also holds specialized qualifications in pediatric intensive care (IDPCCM) from the IAP-College of Pediatric Critical Care. Before joining American Hospital Dubai, he worked as a specialist pediatrician in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain, and prior to that gained extensive experience setting up and leading a PICU in a tertiary care hospital in Kerala, India.

Dr. George specializes in pediatric critical care—the management of seriously ill children requiring intensive monitoring and specialized treatment. He brings more than 5 years of focused experience in this field, managing complex cases in high-dependency settings. He is trained in emergency stabilization, organ support, and the care of children with life-threatening conditions.
