Dr. Vugar Garaev

Dr. Vugar Garaev is a neonatologist with 17 years of experience in intensive newborn care. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2004, followed by specialist training in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine in Saint Petersburg, Russia (2004–2007), and a PhD in Neonatology & Perinatal Medicine from the North-West Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Science in 2013. He spent many years at Saint Petersburg Municipal Children's Hospital, one of Russia's largest level 3 neonatal intensive care units, before moving to the Middle East.

Dr. Garaev specializes in managing premature infants and complex medical and surgical cases in newborns. His clinical interests focus on nutrition, ventilation support, and neurodevelopment in neonates. He has worked as a Consultant in Pediatric and Neonatal Medicine at King Khalid Hospital in Saudi Arabia and currently practices at NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where he manages a wide range of conditions affecting critically ill newborns.

He is a good fit for families needing expert care for premature or seriously ill newborns, particularly those requiring intensive ventilation support or complex medical management in a level 3 NICU setting.
