Dr. Hasan Elias Baydoun

Dr. Hasan Baydoun is an orthopedic surgeon with over 10 years of experience across the United States and the Middle East. He leads the orthopedic department at HealthPoint Abu Dhabi and brings extensive training from top international institutions. His medical degree came from the American University of Beirut, followed by orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He then completed specialized fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University under Dr. JP Warner, and undertook advanced apprenticeship in shoulder reconstruction in Lyon with leading European specialists.

Dr. Baydoun has built a distinguished career as a sports medicine physician, serving as assistant team physician for major professional sports organizations including the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins, as well as numerous collegiate and high school teams. His clinical work focuses on shoulder surgery, sports injuries, and arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques. He has been instrumental in establishing the first sports medicine fellowship program in the Middle East at the American University of Beirut in 2016, which he helped develop and lead.

Dr. Baydoun maintains active involvement in medical education, research, and professional leadership. He lectures internationally, serves on the editorial boards of multiple peer-reviewed journals, sits on committees within the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and has published research and received awards for both clinical excellence and research contributions.
