About Dr. Ahmad Mustafa Al Masaeed
Dr Ahmad Al Masaeed is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with extensive experience in advanced coronary procedures. He trained in medicine at Trinity College Dublin, completed his cardiology training through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians via the Green Lane/Auckland Hospitals program, and undertook specialist interventional cardiology training at Central Manchester University Hospitals in the UK. He has worked as a consultant interventional cardiologist across New Zealand and Australia, including leading a remote interventional cardiology service across the Northern Territory.
Dr Ahmad has performed and supervised over 6,000 diagnostic coronary angiograms (heart imaging) and 3,000 interventional cases. He has full competence in complex coronary stenting including high-risk cases, chronic total occlusion intervention (opening completely blocked arteries), and intra-aortic balloon pump support. He is also experienced with advanced heart-support devices including Impella, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and cardiac imaging including CT coronary angiography and transoesophageal echocardiography.
