About Dr. Maisaa Mahmoud
Dr. Maisaa Mahmoud is an anaesthesiologist practising at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi. She graduated from Ain Shams University in Egypt and completed her training in anaesthesia and intensive care at Ain Shams University hospitals, a large teaching centre with over 1,500 beds. She holds both a Master's degree and an MD in Anaesthesia and ICU from the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University.
Before joining Mediclinic, Dr. Maisaa worked for more than seven years at an air base hospital in Saudi Arabia and spent another seven years at Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi. She is experienced in a wide range of anaesthetic techniques, including regional anaesthesia (numbing specific areas rather than general sleep), detailed patient assessment before surgery, and pain management after operations.
Dr. Maisaa has particular expertise in obstetric anaesthesia, including labour epidural pain relief and management of complex high-risk pregnancies and serious bleeding after delivery. She also has training in paediatric anaesthesia for children undergoing surgery.
