Dr. Sherine Abdalla

Dr. Sherine Abdalla is a Staff Physician in the Gastroenterology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Digestive Disease Institute. She completed her medical degree at the University of Alexandria in Egypt, then trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Florida. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in nutrition from the University of Dundee in the UK.

Dr. Abdalla provides comprehensive digestive care for adults, performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures including colorectal cancer screening. She manages a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders with particular expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) and liver disease. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology & Hepatology, bringing 12 years of clinical experience across hospital and outpatient settings in Florida, Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Abdalla has contributed peer-reviewed research to high-impact medical journals and presented her work at major international conferences including the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting. She is involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians and is a member of both the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
