About Dr. Ahmad Yacoub
Dr. Ahmad Yacoub is a German-educated Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 19 years of clinical and surgical experience. Originally from Jordan, he moved to Germany in 1997 for his medical studies, graduating from the University of Bonn and completing specialist training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery. He is German board-certified (Facharzt) and holds specialist registration with the UK General Medical Council. He currently leads the Orthopaedic Department at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai.
During his career at academic teaching hospitals in Germany, Dr. Yacoub developed broad expertise in joint replacement (hip, knee and shoulder), advanced arthroscopic surgery (ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration), foot and ankle procedures (bunions, rigid big toe, hammer toes), and complex trauma management. In 2018 he was awarded the Certificate for Foot and Ankle Surgery by the German Society for Foot Surgery. His current practice focuses on joint preservation and biologic reconstruction using minimally invasive techniques, with particular interest in complex knee and shoulder conditions.
