Dr. Abdul Hafiz Mahmdouh Farra

Dr. Abdul Hafiz is a Specialist Cardiologist with over five years of experience in diagnosing and managing heart conditions. He trained at Al Bassel Heart Institute in Damascus, Syria, one of the largest cardiac centers in the region, where he earned his MD in Cardiology. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and follows current international guidelines from the ESC, American Heart Association, and American Society of Cardiology to guide his patient care.

Dr. Abdul Hafiz diagnoses and treats a broad range of cardiovascular conditions including high blood pressure, heart attacks, coronary artery disease, irregular heartbeats, heart valve disease, rheumatic fever, and heart failure. He also manages related conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and lung disease. His diagnostic toolkit includes ECG, echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart), stress tests, 24-hour heart rhythm monitors, and cardiac CT scans.

He takes a comprehensive approach that includes analysing cardiac symptoms such as chest pain, palpitations, fatigue, and shortness of breath, assessing individual risk factors, pre-operative heart evaluation, and cardiac rehabilitation with lifestyle guidance. Dr. Abdul Hafiz has practiced in Syria and has been with Zulekha Hospital Sharjah since 2020.
