Dr. Shama Nawaz

Dr. Shama Nawaz is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. She trained initially in Pakistan, worked for two years in the Pakistan Army medical service, then spent four years at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi before relocating to Ireland, where she worked in teaching hospitals for 10 years. She joined Al Zahra Hospital, Sharjah in 2001 and has been practising in the UAE since. She holds membership and fellowship qualifications from both the UK Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, FRCOG) and the Irish Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, FRCP).

Dr. Shama specialises in maternal and fetal medicine and the management of high-risk pregnancies. She is highly skilled in obstetric ultrasound, including advanced 3D/4D scanning, transvaginal ultrasound, and colposcopy. She also performs hysteroscopy, laparoscopy (including minimally invasive surgery), and offers cosmetic gynaecological services such as vaginal rejuvenation with laser treatment, dermal fillers, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.
