Dr. Sharmeen Mansoor

Dr. Sharmeen Mansoor is a consultant pathologist with specialized expertise in hematopathology, the study of blood and bone marrow diseases. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology in both anatomical and clinical pathology as well as hematopathology, and holds Fellowship status from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She trained at leading institutions including The Ohio State University for hematopathology and Roswell Park Cancer Institute for oncologic pathology, bringing a strong foundation in diagnosing complex blood disorders.

Dr. Mansoor has particular expertise in analyzing bone marrow and blood smears under the microscope to identify leukemias and lymphomas, as well as using flow cytometry—an advanced technique that counts and characterizes blood cells. Her work spans surgical pathology, oncologic pathology, and hematopathology, making her well-equipped to interpret tissue samples and blood tests for cancer and blood disorders. She previously worked as an attending pathologist at The Moncton Hospital in Canada before joining American Hospital Dubai.

Her diagnostic focus on leukemias, lymphomas, and bone marrow morphology makes her a strong choice for patients undergoing evaluation for blood cancers or whose primary care doctors need expert pathology interpretation of blood and bone marrow samples.
