About Dr. Abed Homsi
Dr. Abed Homsi is a Consultant Pediatrician at Burjeel Day Surgery Center on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, certified by the Arab Board of Health Specializations. With over 12 years of clinical experience, he provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents across the full spectrum of pediatric conditions.
Dr. Homsi earned his medical degree from Aleppo University in Syria in 2003 and completed his Master's in Pediatrics at Damascus University in 2010. He began his career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Palestinian Red Crescent Hospital in Damascus, where he worked until 2014 before relocating to the UAE. Over the past seven years, he has worked in leading private hospitals, building substantial expertise in newborn examination, vaccinations, growth and developmental monitoring, and the management of infectious diseases and allergies.
His clinical interests span neonatology, pediatric allergy and immunology, nutrition, developmental pediatrics, and infectious diseases. He is fluent in both English and Arabic, making him accessible to diverse families in Abu Dhabi.
