Dr. Saeed Almarzooqi

Dr. Saeed Almarzooqi is a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 13 years of clinical experience. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and completed specialist training through multiple fellowships at the University of Toronto, including clinical gastroenterology, hepatology, and transplant hepatology. He currently serves as director of the hepatology service and programme director of the gastroenterology fellowship at SSMC.

Dr. Almarzooqi specialises in the full spectrum of liver disease, including viral hepatitis (hepatitis B, C, and D), fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, autoimmune liver conditions, and liver cancer. He has particular expertise in caring for patients before and after liver transplant, as well as managing rare conditions such as Fontan-associated liver disease.
