Dr. Babar Bashir Chaudhri

Dr. Babar Bashir Chaudhri is a British cardiac and thoracic surgeon with over 32 years of clinical experience since 1992. He trained at the University of Cambridge and completed an MD through the University of London as a British Heart Foundation Research Fellow, with surgical training across prestigious institutions in London, Scotland, Newcastle, Harefield Hospital, Freeman Hospital, and MHH Hannover in Germany. He currently works as a Consultant Cardiac, Thoracic, and Transplant Surgeon and Professor of Surgery at King's College Hospital London (Dubai), where he is an Associate Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Chaudhri has performed over 6,000 adult cardiac operations and more than 2,500 major thoracic operations across Europe, the UK, India, and the UAE. His experience includes over 100 heart and lung transplants and extensive use of mechanical circulatory devices (LVADs and ECMO). He specializes in off-pump and beating-heart coronary surgery, aortic root and arch surgery, mitral valve repair, complex valve redo surgery, emergency cardiac procedures, and surgery for irregular heartbeat. He provides 24/7 emergency cover for acute aortic emergencies in Dubai and is recognized for managing some of the region's most complex cardiac surgical cases.

His research in heart failure has influenced clinical practice, and he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
