Dr. Carina Botes

Carina Botes is a physiotherapist with a special focus on intensive care and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. She qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2008, and has spent her career working in acute hospital settings. Before moving to the UAE in 2015, she worked at Groote Schuur Hospital, where she gained extensive experience across multiple intensive care units and hospital wards, including medical, surgical, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, heart surgery, orthopaedics, and spinal cord injury units.

Carina specializes in helping patients recover function after critical illness or heart and lung conditions. She works with people in intensive care and those transitioning to rehabilitation, designing personalized treatment plans to restore mobility, breathing, and quality of life. Her background spans both acute emergency care and longer-term recovery settings, giving her broad experience with complex patient needs.

She is committed to patient-centred care, taking time to understand each person's goals and tailoring her approach to support their best possible recovery.
