Dr. Sawsan Abdel-Razig

Dr. Sawsan Abdel-Razig is Chief Academic Officer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and a Staff Physician in the Primary Care Department. She specializes in general internal medicine and family health, with a strong focus on medical education and clinical research. Dr. Abdel-Razig has 23 years of clinical experience and holds qualifications from leading US institutions: her MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and a Master's degree in Education of Health Professionals from Johns Hopkins University.

Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdel-Razig led the medical education section at the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) from 2010 to 2015, where she oversaw graduate medical education programs and professional development across Abu Dhabi. She also worked as an internal medicine consultant at Mafraq Hospital. Her clinical experience covers common chronic conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, and chronic lung disease.

Dr. Abdel-Razig is a clinician educator and former residency program director who continues to teach and conduct educational research. She holds adjunct faculty positions at New York University Medical School and Johns Hopkins University School of Education, bringing international academic expertise to her role in Abu Dhabi.
