Dr. Aref Chehal

Dr. Aref Chehal is a consultant medical oncologist and haematologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with more than 20 years of experience in oncology and blood-related cancers. He is an adjunct professor of medicine at Khalifa University and Gulf Medical University in the United Arab Emirates, and holds fellowship status with the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Chehal specializes in treating a wide range of cancers including lung cancer, breast cancer, gynaecologic (women's reproductive) cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and genitourinary (urinary and reproductive) malignancies. He has published numerous medical articles, abstracts, and clinical studies throughout his career and currently chairs the General Tumour Board at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, helping guide complex cancer cases across the institution.

He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and maintains active membership in leading international oncology organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Hematology Association.
