Dr. Vidya K Narayanan

Dr Vidya K Narayanan is a consultant paediatrician with over 20 years of experience in general paediatrics and a particular focus on endocrine and metabolic conditions in children. She trained extensively in India, completing her MBBS with gold medals and recognition as best outgoing student from Government Medical College Thrissur, followed by specialist postgraduate qualifications including an MD in Paediatrics from JIPMER Pondicherry. She then undertook comprehensive paediatric training in the UK at leading children's hospitals including the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle, Royal Hospital for Sick Children Glasgow, and Birmingham Children's Hospital, completing formal UK specialist training and joining the GMC specialist register in 2013.

Dr Narayanan's practice spans the full breadth of paediatric care, from newborn screening and routine child health checks to management of childhood infections, asthma, eczema and allergies. Her special expertise lies in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes—both type 1 and type 2—as well as thyroid disorders, growth problems, puberty assessment and bone health in children.
