Dr. Sheik Mehboob Hussain

Dr. Sheik Mehboob Hussain is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 26 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery. He completed advanced surgical training in Dundee, UK, and undertook a fellowship in adult reconstruction and young adult hip conditions at Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. As a traveling fellow, he gained extensive exposure to leading tertiary institutions across the United Kingdom and Europe, and played a key role managing complex hip conditions in young adults at Scotland's National Referral Centre.

Dr. Hussain specializes in hip and knee replacements, particularly using the anterior approach for primary hip arthroplasty, as well as complex revision surgery for failed joint replacements. He is experienced in managing periprosthetic fractures (breaks around implants), bone infections, hip preservation techniques for younger patients, and sports-related injuries.
