Dr. Amber Syed is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with 20 years of specialist experience. She trained in the UK and worked as a Consultant in the NHS before relocating to Dubai in 2015. She now practises at Mediclinic Dubai, bringing extensive expertise across pregnancy care, gynaecological conditions, and women's health at all life stages.
Dr. Syed manages both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, and is competent in all modes of delivery—including natural vaginal birth, assisted delivery, and caesarean section. She actively supports vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC) and water birth. Beyond obstetrics, she treats abnormal cervical smears, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, fertility issues, and early pregnancy complications including miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. She also performs colposcopy, laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy. A particular interest is the care of women during perimenopause and menopause.
