Dr. Muhammad Toqeer

Dr Muhammad Toqeer is a UK-trained Consultant Gastroenterologist at American Hospital Dubai, with extensive experience in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his medical training at Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan, followed by specialist training in gastroenterology and general internal medicine through the London Deanery in the UK. He holds the FRCP (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London), the highest medical credential in the UK.

Dr Toqeer manages a wide range of digestive conditions, from reflux disease and peptic ulcers to inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), as well as chronic unexplained abdominal pain and IBS. He performs numerous diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures—including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible enteroscopy (push and balloon-assisted), capsule endoscopy, PEG tube insertion, stricture dilation, and management of bleeding varices. He also offers non-surgical weight loss management and uses specialised pH monitoring to assess reflux and chronic cough.
