Dr. Heidar Arjomand

Dr. Heidar Arjomand is a Consultant Interventional and Structural Cardiologist at American Hospital Dubai, where he joined in April 2021. He brings 15 years of experience in advanced cardiovascular interventions, with board certification from the American College of Cardiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Endovascular Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pecs University Medical School and completed his residency and multiple fellowships at leading US institutions, including a dedicated year of structural heart disease training at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan—a distinction held by few interventional cardiologists.

Dr. Arjomand treats a wide range of heart and blood-vessel conditions using minimally invasive catheter-based techniques. His expertise spans advanced coronary stenting, mechanical heart pumps (such as Impella devices), transcatheter valve replacement and repair (TAVI, TMVR), closure of heart defects (ASD, PFO, left atrial appendage closure with Watchman device), and endovascular repair of aneurysms and peripheral artery disease. He performs echocardiography, stress testing, and cardiac imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Throughout his career, Dr. Arjomand has held medical director and consultant roles at major US hospitals and health systems. He is an Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University in Florida and has authored chapters in major cardiology textbooks with extensive publications in interventional and structural cardiology, cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, and percutaneous coronary interventions.
