Dr. Arsheena Mohamed

Dr. Arsheena Mohamed is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai and a GCAA-approved Specialist Aeromedical Examiner for Rheumatology. She completed her higher specialist training in rheumatology in London at leading teaching hospitals including the Royal Free Hospital, Barts Health, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Her postgraduate medical training was undertaken in the East of England, and she previously worked as a consultant at Ipswich Hospital in the UK before relocating to the UAE.

Dr. Mohamed has broad expertise in managing inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatic conditions. She treats inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthropathies (inflammatory spine conditions), lupus, vasculitis, Sjögren's syndrome, connective tissue diseases, and polymyalgia rheumatica. She also manages gout, osteoarthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis. She offers joint and soft tissue injections as part of her clinical practice. Her research experience includes a fellowship at Cambridge University Hospital on patient education in early inflammatory arthritis, and work at Royal Free Hospital on scleroderma.

Dr. Mohamed is fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Urdu, enabling her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. She holds prestigious awards including the National Travelling Fellowship from the British Society of Rheumatology and the EULAR Bursary from the European League against Rheumatism.
