Dr. Shalabh Garg

Dr. Shalabh Garg is a Consultant Physician in the Department of Neonatology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He holds specialist qualifications in neonatal medicine and brings over 15 years of experience in caring for sick and premature newborns. Before moving to the UAE in 2023, he worked for nearly 20 years in the UK, including 10 years as a Consultant Neonatologist at a large tertiary-level neonatal unit in the North East of England.

Dr. Garg specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting newborns and infants in intensive care settings. He is trained in the full range of neonatal procedures and interventions needed to support critically ill and premature babies. His work focuses on evidence-based practice and staying current with the latest medical literature to deliver the best possible care.

He is deeply committed to family-centred care and believes strongly in involving parents in their baby's treatment through compassionate communication and transparent discussions about medical decisions. Dr. Garg is also passionate about research and teaching, having presented his work at numerous national and international conferences and published widely in peer-reviewed medical journals.
