Dr. Ritesh Sharma

Dr. Ritesh Sharma is a pulmonologist with over 10 years of clinical experience in lung and respiratory medicine. He trained in India and the UAE, and now practises at Emirates Specialty Hospital in Dubai. He holds an MD in Pulmonary Medicine and is a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology.

Dr. Sharma specialises in complex respiratory conditions including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung diseases, pleural disorders, and lung blood clots. He performs a wide range of procedures: rigid and flexible bronchoscopy, EBUS (ultrasound-guided airway biopsy), CT-guided lung biopsy, ultrasound-guided fluid drainage from around the lungs, medical thoracoscopy, and chest drain insertion. He also manages critically ill patients requiring ventilation support, arterial lines, and ECMO (heart-lung machine support).
