Dr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta is a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine and Head of the Pulmonology Department at Lifecare Hospital in Musaffah, where he also serves as Deputy Medical Director. With over 21 years of clinical experience, he brings extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating complex lung and respiratory conditions. He completed his MD in Respiratory Medicine from Delhi University in India and holds advanced international certifications including MRCP from the UK and EDIC from the Netherlands.

Dr. Gupta has trained at several leading institutions across India and the Gulf region, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Metro Center for Respiratory Diseases, and King Fahd Hospital of the University of Dammam in Saudi Arabia, where he spent over six years as an Assistant Professor and Consultant Pulmonologist. His clinical expertise spans interventional pulmonology (advanced keyhole lung procedures), sleep medicine, interstitial lung disease (scarring of the lungs), asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy (viewing and treating inside the airways), and pleural medicine (conditions affecting the lung lining). He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed international publications in respiratory medicine.
