Dr. Sherif Hussein

Dr. Sherif Hussein is a specialist physician in burn surgery and general surgery at the Burn Centre in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. He brings over 7 years of experience as a general surgeon, with training completed at leading institutions in Egypt and the UAE. He graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo before moving to the UAE, where he completed his general surgery residency at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, serving as Chief Resident.

Dr. Hussein treats a range of surgical conditions, with particular expertise in diabetic foot problems including ulcers, swelling, and tissue damage. He uses advanced wound-healing techniques such as debridement (careful removal of damaged tissue) and Vacuum-Assisted Closure therapy to help wounds heal effectively. He also manages burns and general surgical emergencies, and has knowledge of abdominal aortic aneurysms and varicose veins.

He is well suited for patients with complex diabetic foot complications, burn injuries, or general surgical problems who want a surgeon experienced in modern wound-care techniques and trained across the Middle East.
