Dr. Rabih Hijazi

Dr. Rabih Hijazi is a Staff Physician in the Endocrinology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Medical Specialty Institute. He trained at leading American institutions, earning his MD from the American University of Beirut, completing internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, and finishing his endocrinology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Before relocating to Abu Dhabi, he ran a large endocrinology practice in Tennessee and led the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Cumberland Medical Center, where he also taught medical students.

Dr. Hijazi specializes in managing adult diabetes using advanced technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors. His clinical interests span the full breadth of endocrine disorders, including thyroid and parathyroid conditions, pituitary gland disorders, osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, adrenal disorders, and hormonal imbalances such as low testosterone and polycystic ovary syndrome. He brings 27 years of clinical experience to patient care.

He is board-certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and holds fellowship status in the American College of Endocrinology.
