Dr. Pooja Khanna

Dr. Pooja Khanna is a UK board-certified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 23 years of medical experience, including more than a decade as a specialist. She trained at several of London's leading teaching hospitals—St Thomas', Royal Free, Homerton, Royal London, and King's College Hospital—where she completed advanced hepatology training. Before joining King's College Hospital Dubai, she served as Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endoscopy at Luton and Dunstable Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Khanna has extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing complex liver and gastrointestinal conditions. Her clinical practice combines evidence-based medicine with advanced endoscopic skills, including level 2 polypectomy (removal of larger polyps during colonoscopy). She specializes in liver disease ranging from fatty liver disease and hepatitis to cirrhosis and its complications, as well as inflammatory bowel conditions, reflux disorders, and peptic ulcers. Her research has focused on viral immunology, particularly Hepatitis B, with publications and presentations at international conferences.
