Dr. Bisan Mahmoud Shehade

Dr. Bisan Shehade is a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology with over 12 years of experience in women's reproductive health. She trained at Damascus University in Syria for her medical degree, completed an internship at Dubai Health Authority, and underwent a five-year accredited residency in obstetrics and gynaecology. She holds certification from the Arab Board in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has earned a diploma in aesthetic gynaecology from the American Association.

Dr. Shehade has worked across leading UAE hospitals including Corniche Hospital, Danat Al Emarat Hospital and NMC Hospital. She manages the full range of women's health needs: normal and high-risk pregnancies, pregnancies complicated by conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, infertility, menstrual disorders, and cancers of the reproductive system. She performs caesarean sections, keyhole surgery of the womb (hysteroscopy), cervical examination and treatment (colposcopy), cervical cerclage (stitching to prevent miscarriage), vaginal wall repair, and pessary placement. She also provides cervical cancer screening, family planning advice, sexual health screening and treatment, and management of common genital infections.

Dr. Shehade is a certified instructor for PROMPT (Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training), teaching doctors, midwives and nurses how to respond to obstetric emergencies. She is particularly skilled in managing difficult deliveries and high-risk pregnancies, offering both outpatient and inpatient prenatal care.
