Dr. Muhammad Affan Zamir

Dr. Muhammad Affan Zamir is a consultant radiologist with dual accreditation in diagnostic and interventional radiology. He trained at Imperial College School of Medicine and completed his radiology training at leading London teaching hospitals, including St. Mary's and Hammersmith. He brings several years of experience as Clinical Lead for Interventional Radiology within the UK's National Health Service, and holds qualifications as both a medical doctor and lawyer.

Dr. Zamir's clinical expertise spans diagnostic imaging across vascular, liver and biliary, musculoskeletal, heart, and gastrointestinal systems. On the interventional side, he performs needle-based procedures including image-guided injections into joints, bursae, nerve roots and facet joints; vascular interventions such as angiography, angioplasty and stent placement for blocked arteries; embolisation (blocking blood vessels) to control bleeding and treat aneurysms; biliary drainage and stenting for blocked ducts; and complex biopsies of organs including the lung and liver. He also manages uterine artery embolisation for fibroids and adenomyosis, pelvic venous disorders, and various urological interventions.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Zamir is engaged in teaching and academic medicine, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He serves as a Fellowship examiner for the Royal College of Radiologists, reflecting his standing in the specialty.
