Dr. Ghassan Nakad

Dr. Ghassan Nakad is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Medcare Hospital in Dubai with 14 years of clinical experience. He holds a DM in Cardiology and completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Liege in Belgium. Board certified in both cardiology and internal medicine, Dr. Nakad is also certified in heart failure, cardiac critical care, lipid disorders, and sports cardiology. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and previously served as an NHS Physician Clinical Supervisor.

Dr. Nakad's clinical expertise spans advanced interventional procedures—including complex coronary angioplasty for blocked arteries, chronic total occlusions (long-standing blockages), and multivessel disease—as well as radial artery access techniques and intravascular imaging to guide precise treatment. He performs a range of heart-imaging studies (echocardiography, stress tests, and specialized ultrasound via the oesophagus) and manages heart failure using both traditional medication and device-based therapies. He also treats irregular heartbeats and programs cardiac pacemakers.

Dr. Nakad combines interventional and preventive cardiology approaches, helping patients both during acute events and in long-term cardiovascular health. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French, and maintains active memberships in the Belgian Working Group on Interventional Cardiology, the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, and the Lebanese Society of Cardiology.
