Dr. Wontagab Mare

Dr. Wontagab Mare is a neonatologist with over 6 years of hands-on experience in newborn resuscitation, both in delivery rooms and intensive care settings. He trained in Ethiopia at Mizan Tepi University Teaching Hospitals and St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College, one of the country's few Level 3 neonatal units, before joining NMC Healthcare in Dubai. He is currently pursuing specialist certification through the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Mare specializes in managing sick and premature newborns, with particular expertise in emergency resuscitation, airway management (intubation), and placing specialized lines to deliver medicines and fluids directly. He manages newborns in intensive care and leads emergency response in the delivery room. His practice includes close follow-up of high-risk infants after discharge to prevent complications and support healthy development.
