Dr. Sandip Ghosh

Dr. Sandip Ghosh is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Zulekha Hospital Sharjah with over 25 years of clinical experience managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. He completed postgraduate training in Endocrinology at North Western Deanery in the UK, earning his CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training). Before joining Zulekha Hospital, he spent 15 years as a Consultant Endocrinologist at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, and subsequently worked at the Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research in Ajman.

Dr. Ghosh's clinical expertise spans the full range of endocrine and metabolic disorders: type 1, type 2, and secondary diabetes (from pancreatic disease or other endocrine conditions); obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease; thyroid disorders; lipid and calcium metabolism disorders; endocrine causes of high blood pressure; reproductive endocrinology; male hormone disorders; and hormonal complications in pregnancy. He has authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, with recent work focusing on diabetes management, quality improvement in diabetic ketoacidosis care, and COVID-19 susceptibility in people with diabetes.
