Dr. Praveen Kesav

Dr. Praveen Kesav is an Associate Staff Physician in the Neurology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Neurological Institute. He trained in General Medicine and Neurology in India, earning his medical degree from Government Medical College Trivandrum under the University of Kerala. He completed specialist residency training in neurology at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, followed by dedicated fellowship training in stroke at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Trivandrum—both national institutes of excellence. Before moving to the UAE, Dr. Kesav worked as a consultant neurologist across several leading medical centers in India for six years.

Dr. Kesav has extensive experience diagnosing and managing neurological conditions, with a particular focus on acute stroke care and preventing stroke recurrence. His clinical practice covers medical management of stroke, migraine and headache disorders, Parkinson's disease, cognitive disorders, and neurovascular medicine. He maintains an active interest in research and has authored or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals and contributed book chapters on stroke epidemiology.
