Dr. Syed Tanveer Akamal

Dr. Syed Tanveer Akamal is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 12 years of experience in both general and interventional cardiology. He completed his medical degree at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, India, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at Bangalore Medical College. He pursued specialist fellowship training in Cardiology (DM) at the prestigious Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Centre in Bangalore, and has worked across multiple international cardiology hospitals before joining NMC Healthcare in Al Ain.

Dr. Akamal specializes in interventional cardiology procedures including coronary angiography, primary angioplasty, and elective stent placement. He is skilled in echocardiography (both standard and trans-oesophageal), ECG interpretation, stress testing, and 24-hour heart rhythm monitoring (Holter monitoring).
