Dr. Hasan Al-azzawi

Dr. Hasan Al-azzawi is an American Board Certified consultant in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He completed his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Iraq, and went on to specialist training in the United States. After finishing his internal medicine residency, he undertook fellowship training in pulmonary medicine at Southern Illinois University, followed by critical care medicine training at Baylor College of Medicine. Before joining American Hospital Dubai, he worked as a pulmonary and critical care consultant at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Al-azzawi has more than ten years of clinical and research experience, with particular expertise in managing serious lung and breathing conditions. He treats a wide range of respiratory diseases including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), high blood pressure in the lungs, severe infections (sepsis), and shock. He has extensive experience with ventilator management and ECMO (a life-support technique that oxygenates the blood outside the body for patients with severe respiratory or heart failure).

He is skilled in clinical research and medical education. His approach combines clinical expertise with an evidence-based understanding of complex respiratory conditions, making him a suitable choice for patients requiring specialist management of serious lung disease or those needing critical care support.
