Dr. Eman Abdullah Yousef

Ms. Eman Abdullah Yousef is a Certified Diabetes Educator with a nursing background (BSN from Mansoura University, Egypt) and specialized training across multiple centres including Imperial College London Diabetes Center Abu Dhabi, University Hospital Dresden in Germany, and Leicester University in the UK. She has worked in government hospitals in Egypt and the UAE, including Mansoura University Hospital, UAQ Hospital, and University Hospital Sharjah, before joining Zulekha Hospital in Dubai.

As a diabetes educator, Ms. Yousef helps patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity manage their condition through lifestyle changes and self-management education. She conducts individual and group education sessions for adults and children alongside their families and caregivers, working closely with dietitians. She screens for diabetes complications including high blood pressure and kidney problems, arranges eye checks, and performs foot assessments to prevent long-term damage. She also provides nutritional counselling and helps patients use modern diabetes technologies such as blood glucose meters, continuous glucose monitors, and insulin pumps.

Ms. Yousef takes a collaborative approach, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and acting as an advocate for her patients. She is particularly experienced in supporting pregnant women with diabetes and those at risk of developing diabetes.
