Dr. Samir Hassan Naik

Dr. Samir Naik is a Consultant Pulmonologist at King's College Hospital London (Dubai) with over 19 years of experience in respiratory medicine. He trained initially in India, completing his medical degree from Dharwad University in 1995 and a Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases from Pune University. He then moved to the United Kingdom, where he obtained his MRCP(UK) and completed specialist training in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine through South West London Deanery.

Dr. Naik manages a broad range of lung conditions including asthma, COPD, pleural diseases, chest infections, tuberculosis, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer. He has particular expertise in interventional pulmonology—performing bronchoscopy, EBUS (ultrasound-guided needle sampling), pleural procedures, and other minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. He also treats obstructive sleep apnoea and maintains experience in general internal medicine.

He leads the Respiratory Department and is actively involved in training junior doctors and physician associates as a Royal College of Physicians Tutor. Dr. Naik regularly presents research at national and international conferences and participates in service improvement projects.
