Dr. Hossameldeen Elbarbary

Dr. Hossameldeen Elbarbary is a consultant ophthalmologist with 19 years of experience in routine and complex eye care. He trained at Alexandria University in Egypt, earning his MBBS in 2001, Master's degree in Ophthalmology in 2006, and MD in Ophthalmology in 2011. He has worked across the Middle East, including Alexandria University Hospitals in Egypt, hospitals in Saudi Arabia (Aljedaani Hospital and Magrabi Eye Centres), and multiple facilities in the UAE (Burjeel Hospital, Saudi German Hospital, and currently NMC Speciality Hospital Al Nahda in Dubai). He holds membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, UK since 2021.

Dr. Elbarbary performs a broad range of eye surgeries and treatments. He specializes in cataract surgery with lens implantation (phacoemulsification), LASIK and PRK refractive surgery, and ICL implantation for vision correction. He also manages glaucoma, performs oculoplastic and eyelid surgeries (including droopy eyelid correction), tear-duct surgery for watery eyes, pterygium removal, and laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy. He treats eye trauma, emergencies, and corneal conditions including keratoconus. He has published several research papers in major ophthalmic journals and presented at international conferences.
