Dr. Ahmed Kaabneh

Dr. Ahmed Kaabneh is an interventional radiologist with 27 years of clinical experience, currently practising in Abu Dhabi. He trained in the United Kingdom, completing his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2002 and specialist training in interventional radiology through the Northern Deanery. He obtained his fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists in 2012 and his Certificate of Completion of Training in interventional radiology in 2014. Before relocating to Abu Dhabi, he worked as a consultant radiologist at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, UK, where he led multiple high-risk procedural areas.

Dr. Kaabneh performs a broad range of minimally invasive image-guided procedures to treat vascular and non-vascular conditions. His expertise includes emergency trauma interventions, aortic repairs, gynaecological interventions, peripheral artery angioplasty and stent placement, dialysis access salvage, liver and biliary interventions, and embolization (blocking blood vessels to stop bleeding or treat tumours). He also conducts diagnostic ultrasound with contrast agents, CT-guided biopsies, and drainage procedures—all performed under real-time imaging to minimize harm to surrounding tissue.
