Dr. Mohan Rangaswamy

Dr. Mohan Rangaswamy is a plastic surgeon with 28 years of experience in all areas of the specialty. He is licensed as a Consultant by Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Healthcare City, and practises at Al Zahra Hospital. He trained at leading medical institutes in India, topped national selections at every level of medical training, and later obtained his fellowship from the Royal College in Glasgow, UK. He received specialist training in microvascular surgery (the delicate repair of small blood vessels) from 1987 onwards and has maintained this expertise throughout his career.

Dr. Rangaswamy handles both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, as well as hand surgery. In reconstruction, he treats burn scars, birth defects, cancer-related deformities, exposed bone from orthopaedic injuries, complex hernias and nerve problems, and difficult wounds. In cosmetic surgery, he specialises in rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), eyelid surgery, breast and body contouring, fat grafting, body lifts after major weight loss, and female genital rejuvenation. He pioneered a technique called lipoabdominoplasty and developed minimal-scar approaches for gynecomastia (enlarged breast tissue in men). For hand issues, he treats Dupuytren's contracture, nerve and tendon problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fingertip injuries.

Dr. Rangaswamy is known for one of the lowest complication rates in the region, achieved through careful planning and prevention of problems before they occur. He is an active teacher and respected speaker at international aesthetic surgery conferences, and a member of major professional bodies including ISAPS, ASPS (USA), APSI (India), and ISSH (hand surgery).
