Dr. Saif-El-Dean Abdel-Rahman

Dr. Saif-El-Dean Abdel-Rahman is a UK Board Certified Consultant Cardiologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, bringing 25 years of experience in cardiology. He trained in the UK and Canada, graduating from Imperial College London in 2002, and later earned a Doctor of Medicine degree for his research on blood tests for early heart attack detection. Before moving to the UAE in 2022, he was a Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, where he held an NHS Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Abdel-Rahman specialises in advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging—ultrasound and CT scans of the heart—and has particular expertise in heart valve disease, having run one of the UK's largest valve clinics. Over his career, he has performed and overseen more than 10,000 cardiac imaging assessments. He established the cardiac CT programme at Leeds and oversaw one of the country's largest echocardiography services. He is an experienced trainer, having taught advanced cardiac imaging techniques to doctors across the UK, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, and served as a national examiner for the British Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Abdel-Rahman is actively engaged in clinical research and has contributed to numerous large studies throughout his career. He offers comprehensive cardiac assessment using the latest imaging technology and brings a wealth of expertise in diagnosing and managing heart conditions.
