Dr. Cynthia Sargunam

Dr. Cynthia Sargunam is a dermatologist with 16 years of clinical experience, including five years in India and 11 years practising in the UAE. She completed her MBBS from Madurai Medical College in 2005 and her MD in Dermatology and Venereology from Madras Medical College in 2009. She holds a Fellowship in Cosmetology and works at Mediclinic Al Ain, where she manages the full spectrum of skin conditions and cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Sargunam has particular expertise in treating psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria (hives), hair loss and acne. She performs a wide range of medical and cosmetic procedures including laser therapy, chemical peels, radiofrequency treatments, skin biopsies, mole removal, wart removal using liquid nitrogen, and injectable treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers. She also offers advanced hair-restoration therapies including mesotherapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment.

Dr. Sargunam is recognised in her field, having published nine articles in national and international journals and presented research at multiple conferences. She was awarded the Dr. Shivakumar Endowment Prize by the Hair Research Society of India and the Fulford Derma Foundation Scholarship Award, both in 2008. She is a member of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists and the Indian Society of Teledermatology.
