Dr. Zubin Nalladaru

Dr. Zubin Nalladaru is a cardiothoracic surgeon who qualified from King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, in 1992. He has built a distinguished career across three continents, beginning as a lecturer in cardiothoracic surgery at B.Y.L. Nair Hospital where he trained postgraduate students alongside performing complex surgeries. He then worked as a senior registrar at Wellington Public Hospital in New Zealand before completing a fellowship in cardiac surgery at the University of Alabama, where the programme performs over 1,600 open-heart cases annually, including heart and heart-lung transplantations.

Since joining Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai in 2002, Dr. Zubin has been instrumental in establishing the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and was part of the team that performed the first open-heart surgery in a private hospital in the UAE. He is experienced in coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repairs and replacements, aortic surgery, and lung surgery. His particular expertise includes minimally invasive techniques using small incisions, total arterial revascularisation, and endoscopic vessel harvesting—approaches that can reduce recovery time and complications.

Dr. Zubin has presented research at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, combining his clinical expertise with an active interest in advancing surgical practice.
