Dr. Imad Hashim Ahmad Al Anoo

Dr. Imad Hashim Ahmad Al Anoo is a consultant neurosurgeon and spine surgeon with more than 40 years of clinical experience. He completed his medical degree at Mosul Medical College in Iraq in 1977, then pursued specialist training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, obtaining his fellowship in general surgery in 1982 and his fellowship in neurosurgery in 1986. He is currently an adjuvant professor of neurosurgery at the University of Sharjah and serves as an education advisor for AO Spine Middle East.

Dr. Al Anoo treats a wide range of brain and spinal conditions, including brain tumours, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, disc herniation, and degenerative spine diseases. He has particular expertise in cervical and lumbar spine surgery, hydrocephalus, cerebrovascular conditions, and paediatric neurosurgery. Throughout his career, he has participated in over 250 international neuroscience and spine conferences, many in leadership roles as chairman or education advisor.

He is a former president of the Emirates Neuroscience Society and serves as a reviewing editor for The Global Spine Journal. Dr. Al Anoo is well suited for patients requiring complex brain or spine surgery, particularly those with degenerative conditions, traumatic injuries, or tumours requiring specialist intervention.
